I had two of those, other than limited head room in the back seat it was easy to enter. The rear seats also fold down for a pass through that was very good at swallowing cargo for a 2 door car.

How was it as a car? What’s shocking is that you can very easily bolt up an EJ into these. Hard part is the wiring. If I could find a clean one without much rust, I would love to do one up.

It is a very good car, very quiet and very aero dynamic. The driving dynamics are a bit wonky as it’s very front heavy. They are much better with coil-overs than the OEM air suspension. The air suspension is cool but the dampeners tend to wear and then it doesn’t work as well. The 2.7L is a very smooth and torquey engine in this car. We did a Sacramento to Missoula MT run with an one the road speed of around 75 mph average. Frequently hi t 100 plus in Nevada

I wonder if caging it would help with the weight balance...

The fundamental problem is the engine is over the front axle. If you removed all the front body work that would help quite a bit.

I bet there’s a ton of weight you could pull out of the front by going carbon fiber hood, yanking the popups/motors, pulling out AC, relocating the battery, and maybe even relocating the radiator.
